Andrew Skinner
Sport: Disability Golf

Since becoming an amputee in 2006, Andrew has not looked back. In the same year, he got invited to a talent ID day at Loughborough University by Paralympics GB, just after London won the right to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The result of the ID day was to change his life forever. After being invited back the next day to train with the GB sitting volleyball squad, Andrew spent the next 6 years representing his country with pride and travelling the world. Unfortunately, due to a shoulder injury, Andrew was not selected for the final 12 man team for the 2012 Games. Most people would have given up, but instead Andrew took up another sport…Golf. Again, giving 100% in training, Andrew completed his first season on the EDGA tour in 2015 and plays on ONE leg and is ranked 27th in Europe for is category.

Andrew is a Volleyball England Level 2 coach and plays domestic Sitting Volleyball for Lincoln in the Grand Prix series.
